We're seeking an experienced finance manager to maintain the financial health of our small independent studio, enabling our high-performance game team to stay focused on development. The ideal candidate will proactively keep the studio's financial infrastructure running smoothly such that everything "just works" for all our employees, clients, and partners, while handling their requests quickly and courteously.
This is a full-time position whose full set of responsibilities ranges from day-to-day oversight of bill payment, bookkeeping, and payroll services, to handling complex tax and compliance matters, to assisting with long-term financial planning. As such, our Finance Manager is a key operational role adjacent to the game team, reporting to Supergiant’s development director (who has been involved in these efforts since the studio's founding in 2009).
Payments and Books: review expenses, manage bookkeeping service, manage payroll service, manage 401(k) service, make payments, onboard team members
Contracts & Partners: track payments, review statements
Tax: interface with tax partners on income tax matters, file & pay local & international taxes as needed
Advise on strategic financial plans as needed

Enjoys and is comfortable with working with numbers and sensitive information
Able to articulately communicate financial and legal information to those who may not have familiarity with those topics
Experienced reading and understanding government and legal documents
Knowledgeable about tax laws and regulations at local, state, and federal levels
